Children going into 1st through 4th grades will have the opportunity to participate in academically and creatively theme-based experiences, led by certified elementary teachers. These hands-on interactive courses will happen in a half-day offering. The other half of the day the children will be involved in an “immersion” experience, with guest presenters, planned events, and group opportunities. A counselor is scheduled to remain all day with the group of children, helping them throughout their experience. The program is one week, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, includes lunch and a snack, and all activities are held on the Saint Vincent College Campus. Preschool and Kindergarten children are also welcome for a half day program, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm! Space is limited - register today!
Micro Tots is our Challenge Program for Preschool and Kindergarten aged students! It is half day, includes a snack and multiple learning experiences with galactic missions incorporated all throughout! Each class is taught by a certified teacher with counselors helping each day. The day includes lunch at the SVC cafeteria, an afternoon snack, two morning classes, and a different afternoon immersion each day! PLEASE READ *Immersion Courses Disclaimer and Notes* All Challenge Immersions are designed to be hands on enrichment and experientially deepening opportunities for attendees based on educational material covered in K-12 educational settings. Immersions are not intended to offer material beyond a k-12 setting or at the college level. Instructors are listed for courses but may be changed based on personal need or the director’s direction. Instructors are chosen a year in advance, but sometimes life happens, and they are unable to fulfill their intention to be with the program. All measures will be taken to provide a substitute. Courses with less than 5 students may be collapsed or cancelled, to provide a meaningful experience for your child. Activity fees are charged for materials beyond normal classroom supplies and/or transportation.

Explorations in Light: all things light! Sunshine, moonlight, lightning! Experiment with prisms, color mixing with light, bending light, and what lurks in the shadows. An interactive afternoon of light adventures.
Spacecraft-ing: How is it possible to send a craft into space? Explore the science behind space travel through hands on events and experiments. Create space craft and space gear, while keeping your feet firmly on this planet!
Outerspace and Beyond: An exciting visit to the campus planetarium to take a trip among the stars! Explore Google Earth and design your own planet. Some say the moon is made of Swiss Cheese, we will make one with shaving cream!
Jedi Training: Become fit for outer space travel. Challenge yourself with an obstacle course and group games and then on to solving your space mission using Google Earth.
Life on Planet MICRO:Create your tribe's mask, assemble some out of this world snacks and treats, make and play exotic instruments, and try your skill at some larger than life games!
